Description: What happens when a town of less than 10,000 people nearly doubles in size over a single day?
That question was answered in Gander, Newfoundland on September 11th, 2001, when 38 planes were diverted to the town’s airport in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on New York, Washington and Philadelphia.
