Bunbeg
Bunbeg is a pretty fishing village in the Gweedore area of the west of County Donegal.
Set in a quiet sheltered cove the village has a pier for fishing boats and leisure craft.
The harbour in Bunbeg County Donegal is the embarkment point for the Tory Island Ferry.
Bunbeg Beach
The Maheraclogher Beach Trail is a 3.5 kilometer loop trail located nearby and takes in the wreck known as Bad Eddie’s Boat. This is a shipwreck, known as Bád Eddie. ‘Bád’ means boat in Irish language.
The huge expanse of sand, dunes and streams makes this beach great for walking, exploring and relaxing.
When the tide is out numerous rock pools, coves and streams are exposed revealing numerous natural wonders loved by nature enthusiasts.
